Arens Power Distribution Modules (PDM) incorporate state-of-the-art digital electronics technology.

As vehicles have become smarter through the incorporation of digital technologies, their electrical systems have also become more complex in terms of distribution and power management. Issues of accessibility and the potential for wiring errors have also increased with adaptation of these sophisticated electrical systems. Together, all of this has resulted in increased challenges for the OEM design engineers, along with maintenance issues for owners of these vehicles and the people responsible for servicing them.

To answer the challenges brought on by these advanced vehicle designs, Arens has developed a series of Power Distribution Modules (PDM) which incorporates state-of-the-art digital electronics technology with an innovative mechanical design. The PowerPro series of PDMs provide more efficient power management while eliminating service problems in the field.

Unlike traditional fuse blocks, the Arens PowerPro PDM solves these problems by allowing the installation and operation of multiple electronic accessories through intelligent power distribution and management technology.

The unique housing configuration of the Arens PowerPro PDM places all wiring plug connections on the face of the unit for ease-of-access. The PowerPro PDM plug connectors are designed so that each plug has a unique configuration, allowing it to fit only into its specific terminal connection. This eliminates the potential for errors resulting from incorrect connection.

The PowerPro PDM housing is designed with a unique integrated sealing system to protect the internal components from moisture, dust and other environmental containments. In fact, the PowerPro PDM housing is certified to be in compliance with IP 67. Ingress Protection (IP) ratings were developed by the European Committee for Electro Technical Standardization (CENELEC), and are described in IEC/EN 60529. These standards specify the level of protection a device or enclosure provides against various environmental contaminants. No other competitive product provides the same level of protection from harmful dust and moisture.
