In an announcement made today, Arens confirmed that they had acquired Quadrastat of Pomona, California. In the announcement, the President of Arens, Mr. Kenneth Kunin, said, "The acquisition of Quadrastat marks a significant step in the evolution of Arens. Today, Arens is recognized as a market leader in the design, development and manufacture of a wide range of state-of-the-art, technology-based control systems for on and off-highway commercial vehicles. Quadrastat, likewise, has built a solid reputation designing and manufacturing a broad line of mechanical and electronic controls for the commercial vehicle market. Together we can now offer the market a wider range of solutions from a single source. We see this as a tremendous advantage to our customers, and an opportunity for significant market growth for both brands."
Kunin went on to say, "Over the course of the next few months, we will be bringing the Quadrastat operation here to Arlington Heights where we can blend the expertise of both companies by providing engineering support and expanded manufacturing capabilities."
Quadrastat manufactures controls specifically designed for applications in the construction, agricultural, medium and heavy-duty vehicle market. Their standard controls include electronic controls, electronic throttle peddle assemblies, transmission shift controls, hydraulic valve controls and self-locking mechanical controls.
